Charts

 

    As I have learned  Charts are use to represent values and reality that provides enough information to show the reality.Before I am use to call this as a graph in math but I learned a different name of it in Computer Science 1.There are different type of charts there are

      

•          Column charts ( also known as bar graph)

This is used when you want to  show data changes over a period of time or for illustrating comparisons among items.

•    Bar Charts

almost same as the fist one,they only differ in the way their axis was named.

•     Line Charts

I use this to display continuous data over time,set against a common scale,and are therefore ideal for showing trends in data at equal intervals.For example if you will be comparing the money earned by 3 different movies in their 1st three days,Line chart will help you

•     Pie charts    

   Generally used to show percentage or proportional data and usually the percentage represented by each category is provided next to the corresponding slice of pie. Pie charts are good for displaying data for around 6 categories or fewer.

•          Area Charts

  An area chart or area graph displays graphically quantitive data. It is based on the line chart. The area between axis and line are commonly emphasized with colors, textures and hatchings. Commonly one compares with an area chart two or more quantities.
